It’s So Natural- Far Infrared Therapy.

We all suffer from muscular aches and pains which can make our lives sheer misery, preventing us enjoying the active, healthy life-style we love. Pain, stiffness and discomfort can make it very difficult for us to function effectively at home, work or study.

Luckily for us, Mother Nature has provided a safe, effective and gentle natural remedy for the relief of nagging pain and discomfort. It is called far infrared thermal energy. We all experience this healthful type of infrared radiation every day in the form of heat from the sun.

Completely safe, far infrared light, unlike ultraviolet radiation, does not cause skin damage or sunburn. Generally, far infrared light energy has proven to be the most optimal for improving our health because of its safe, natural thermal qualities. This new bio-ceramic thermal therapy is the result of highly-advanced, fibre technology which uses extreme temperature to convert a combination of earth minerals and natural fibres into textiles capable of harnessing far infrared healing energy for your therapeutic benefit.

Offering beneficial health solutions for people of all ages, far infrared bio-ceramic therapy garments, FIR body bands and therapy gloves can ease muscular aches, joint stiffness and painful injury by providing medium-level compressive support to help reduce swelling, soothing thermal comfort for improved localized circulation as well as naturally eliminating unpleasant odour and bacteria. As a result, the enhanced oxygen levels improve the white blood cell function to increase your body’s immune response by removing accumulated toxins which can help to promote faster healing.

Seeing how pain and injury can destroy peoples’ enjoyment of life, researchers have conducted studies into the benefits of various natural and effective non-pharmaceutical treatments. This has lead to recent advances in the field of new materials technology, which aims to provide safe remedies to relieve stiffness and soreness associated with gardening, sport, general aging or injury. Far infrared thermal therapy is proving to be a highly effective, natural and safe pain management tool. It’s non-toxic, soothing comfort offers relief without interfering with traditional medications. In fact, it may be possible that wearing far infrared therapy garments for extended periods can help you reduce your need for strong prescription drugs.

Recent studies conducted in America found patients were increasingly interested in using complementary medicines in conjunction with their mainstream medical care. Of course, you need to consult your own trusted health care professional to obtain specific advice concerning your own personal situation.

It is most important, as with all health care products, to choose the best FIR therapy garments which are guaranteed to be of premium quality. Further, selecting a well co-ordinated product range that is capable of meeting all your health care needs is also of vital importance. This ensures you receive the correct level of therapeutic care that can often be required following injury or post-operative surgery. This is because the most effective treatment regime may require you to use several therapy garments, such as elbow support, shoulder and wrist band, to achieve optimum therapeutic results.

Far infrared therapy garments are effective, easy to wear, and importantly, an affordable health care treatment that you can safely use for long-term relief of aches and pain. Far infrared therapy garments are an excellent arthritis treatment which may be used as an adjunct with traditional medications for improved health benefits.

By: Gloria Chang

About the Author:

There is a natural source of healing power in everyone. When this healing power is activated, it triggers a series of complicated internal processes producing a Healing Response. Pain or injury act to alert the body that damage control is needed, at which point the Healing Response begins and endorphins are generated to repair the affected area. This increases the heart rate and alters the blood pressure to speed up the elimination of toxins from the damaged area.

This therapy is considered to be the ‘mother of acupuncture’, in that it was used as a means to stimulate the body’s energy flow long before needles were used for that purpose.

Acupressure is also known to aid your health in a number of other positive ways – including reducing stress and tension; increasing blood circulation; aiding in the removal of toxic wastes; providing relief from head, neck and shoulder aches; promoting healing; increasing energy levels; and increasing feelings of well-being.

This natural pain relief technique requires a special simple but extremely effective device Tibetan (or Kuznetsov) Applicator and can be learned by anyone through the easiest steps of instructed Applications. It has provided effective relief in thousands of clinical cases and the success rate is 80%. Further, it doesn’t seem to matter how severe the pain is or how long you have had it.

Unlike most drugs, relief is usually immediate.

Over 70 million can’t be wrong!

They have already got their healthy pain free lives back with the Tibetan Applicator.

The Tibetan (Kuznetsov) Applicator is an effective and easy to use acupressure pain relief device. It is made from non-allergenic materials and consists of high density plastic spines which are precisely arranged to best stimulate the body’s internal abilities to heal itself.

The Tibetan Applicator provides particularly effective treatment for: arthritic pain, lower and upper back pain, sciatica, knee pain, muscle and joint pain in general, insomnia, headache, fat and cellulite.

The Applicator works by applying non penetrative acupressure on numerous points over an area of the body.

The pressure spines stimulate blood flow and lymph circulation locally. Endorphins (“hormones of happiness” or “natural pain killers”) are released. These are effective in blocking pain and producing analgesia and a sense of well-being.

The Applicator has been successfully used by millions of people for many years all over the world. It eliminates muscle pain, increases the flexibility of joints and increases resistance to muscle fatigue. The Tibetan applicator produces exceptional results in the treatment of sciatica pain, lower back pain, numbness or tingling in legs, pinched nerves, upper back pain, chronic pain in cervical spine, joint pains and spasms.

Scientific research has also shown phenomenal results for sufferers of low or high blood pressure, insomnia and chronic fatigue.

The Applicator has an immediate effect on pain caused by hard physical work, over exertion in sport or other physical stress related activities.

Use of the Applicator results in complete relaxation free from pain or stiffness.

By: Care

About the Author:

If you are suffering from lower back pain for some time and you have got some relief then it is always recommend that you get it diagnosed to know the exact cause of lower back pain. Thereafter a physician will prescribe proper medication accordingly.

While with your physician, he will ask you several questions relating to your problem such as the medical history, the symptoms of the ailment, nature of your work and the kind of activities your involved in. Then the doctor will do a physical examination. Both queries and physical examination will help the physician in ruling out a serious cause behind the problem, if any. You may also be asked questions about any kind of stress you have either at the workplace or home as they make you more vulnerable to chronic lower back pain.

In case of people suffering from lower back pain, more often than not, the physician recommends a treatment after performing initial lower back test. After that, you may be asked by your physician to start home treatment and also to follow physical therapy.

In case your age is more than 50 or you suffer from some of the symptoms of some acute illness, in that situation, you might be asked to get some more tests done by your physician.

Tests for Lower Back Pain

If no negative signs of a serious condition are noticed in the initial lower back test, then it is most likely that you will not be required to have an imaging test since imaging tests are generally done if ;

Your age is above 50.

You had spine problems since birth which are known as congenital spine problems.

Signs of serious problems have been found in the history as well as physical exam. These problems may include fracture, tumor, infection or severe nerve damage.

Confirm if you ever had history of any kind of arthritis in the spine.

Have you ever suffered from a spine injury or have gone through back surgery in the past.

You had/ have been using a long-term steroid or have a history of drug-abuse.

Since you do not notice any sign of improvement and the problem of lower back pain worsens even after following home treatment for a month which may comprise of using pain relievers, ice and exercises.

Severe lower back pain has taken place various times.

Compensation is liable to be given to the worker if he was involved and got injured at workplace.

There is a lawsuit concerning injury.

However, the type of imaging test referred by the physician will vary according to the problem being expected by the physician.

Types of imaging tests are:

Spinal X-Ray

MRI

CT Scan

Bone Scan

Lately simpler and more effective testing methods for lower back pain have replaced imaging tests like the myelogram and discography. Now they are used only in hard-to-diagnose cases or before surgery. If you have been asked to get discography done, better think twice before you go for the test.

In the end, do not ignore if you are suffering from lower back pain or if you are not getting any relief from home treatments; the best option is that you get your lower back pain tests done to know the root cause of the problem and diagnosed accordingly.

You can also try a memory foam mattress, these mattresses have been used extensively in hospitals to help with back pain, Memory foam is now readily available on the market, there are a number of online retailers where you can buy these products with minimal of hassle.

Memory foam mattresses cushion the back and give it support which in turn gives your back time to heal.

By: daveclark

About the Author:

Low back pain is the most common form of physical disability. Low back pain means a pain or ache somewhere between the bottom of the ribs, at the back, and the top of the legs. The pain often begins suddenly, and may follow an obvious strain or injury, but may seem to come on “out of the blue”, or come on slowly. The main cause for low back pain is a strain of the muscles, or other soft structures (eg ligaments and tendons) connected to the back bones (vertebrae). Sometimes it is the cushion between the bones (intervertebral disc) which is strained, and which bulges out (herniates) and presses on the nearby nerves. Low back pain may be acute (short-term), lasting less than one month, or chronic (long-term, continuous, ongoing), lasting longer than three months. Chronic lower back pain usually has a more insidious onset, occurring over a long period of time. Physical causes may include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, degeneration of the discs between the vertebrae, or a spinal disc herniation, a vertebral fracture (such as from osteoporosis), or rarely, a tumor (including cancer) or infection.

Low back pain is either acute or chronic. Acute LBP may begin suddenly with intense pain usually lasting less than 3 months. Low back pain from any cause usually involves spasms of the large, supportive muscles alongside the spine. Back pain associated with weight loss, or difficulty controlling bowel or bladder function, may be caused by a serious disorder, so it’s important to get immediate medical advice. Pain may radiate down the back of the leg to the foot and be accompanied by numbness or tingling when a disc prolapses and puts pressure on the nerves, causing sciatica. A sharp pain may appear in a localised area or, more commonly, be felt as a generalised ache in the lower back and buttocks. There are plenty of medical causes, from arthritis to muscle tears, to abnormal curvature of the spine known as scoliosis. Leg symptoms can include pain, numbness, or tingling, usually below the knee, and/or weakness in one leg. Low-impact activities such as swimming, walking, and bicycling can increase overall fitness without straining the low back.

Weakness and/or numbness in both legs, along with loss of bladder. Lumbar surgery is indicated when conservative treatment is not effective in reducing pain or when the patient develops progressive and functionally limiting neurologic symptoms such as leg weakness, bladder or bowel incontinence, which can be seen with severe lumbar disc herniation, spinal abscess or cauda equina syndrome. Regular exercise to keep generally fit is more important than any specific exercises aimed at the back muscles. The pain may force you to rest, but this is a result of the pain, and not a good treatment for back pain. If you have to take to your bed, limit it, if possible, to a day or two at the most. Use simple pain killers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen if necessary. Avoid activities likely to put unnecessary strain on your back. Back exercises: patients who have not returned to ordinary activities within 6 weeks should be referred for reactivation/rehabilitation.

Low Back Pain Reducing Tips

1. Avoid standing for long periods of time.

2. Do not wear high heels. Use cushion soles when waking.

3. Use a stool under your feet while sitting so that your knees are higher than your hips.

4. Apply ice for the first 2 or 3 days after you hurt your back, then switch to heat.

5. Take over-the-counter pain medicine, such as acetaminophen or an anti-inflammatory drug such as aspirin or ibuprofen.

6. Quit smoking.

7. Lose weight.

By: Juliet Cohen

About the Author:

of Gerd

General symptoms of GERD are heartburn, regurgitation and nausea.

Heartburn is a burning sensation in the middle of the chest caused due to nerve stimulation resulting from acid reflux into the esophagus.

Regurgitation is caused due to appearance of small quantities of liquid in the mouth resulting from reflux of liquid and/or food after passing through upper esophageal sphincter (UES) at the upper end of esophagus. The upper esophageal sphincter (UES) is a circular ring of muscles similar in action to LES (2).

Heartburn is the most common symptom of GERD. It feels like a burning chest pain right behind the breastbone. Pain may move upward toward the throat. It often is worse after meals. Bending over or lying down also may make heartburn worse. Standing up may bring relief. Heartburn often occurs after going to bed at night.

Other GERD symptoms include:

Burping-up, or regurgitation, of sour-tasting, acidy material into the mouth.

Difficult or painful swallowing.

Sore throat, hoarseness, and/or cough.

Wheezing in people with asthma A condition in which the small airways in the lungs are inflamed and become narrow when the person is exposed to something to which he or she is sensitive, causing difficulty in breathing.

Poor sleep habits and frequent waking

Nausea or spitting up more than one hour after eating

Refusing food and accepting only a few bites besides being hungry

Pain, irritability, stomach pain, constant crying

The main symptoms are persistent heartburn and acid regurgitation. Some people have GERD without heartburn. Instead, they experience pain in the chest, hoarseness in the morning, or trouble swallowing. You may feel like you have food stuck in your throat or like you are choking or your throat is tight. GERD can also cause a dry cough and bad breath.

Treatment & Prevention Options

Histamine antagonists:

A histamine antagonist blocks the histamine receptor (histamine stimulates acid producing cells) Therefore, by blocking the histamine receptors, the stimulation of acid producing cells can be prevented. Histamine antagonists are called H2 antagonists since they block histamine type 2 receptor. H2 antagonists are advised to be taken 30 minutes after the meals. Some of the H2 antagonists prescribed are Cimetidine (Tagamet), Ranitidine (Zantac), Nizatidine (Axid) and Famotidine (Pepcid).

Position

Gravity plays an important role in controlling reflux. Those of us who have a less than perfect lower esophageal sphincter (LES) find that if we lie down after a large meal, food comes back into the esophagus and heartburn occurs. If you experience heartburn, think whether it occurs after meals, when you lie in bed at night, or if you take a nap after a meal. Maintaining an upright posture until the meal is digested may prevent the heartburn. If heartburn occurs regularly at night, consider raising the head of the bed or inserting a triangular wedge to keep your esophagus above the stomach. Avoid exertion after a meal. It contracts the abdominal muscles and forces food through a weakened sphincter. This is especially true of tasks that require bending such as lifting or cleaning the floor.

By: peterhutch

About the Author:

In the past, general dentistry is only fillings and cleanings. An appointment with the dentist is always the last thing in the minds of people, from the very young to the elderly. Everyone thinks of a dentist or dentistry as synonymous with pain. But these days, with new developments in technology and dental care, dentists are presently being transformed and getting more visits from the patronizing public. One of the early adopters to advanced dental care is a dental clinic in Fort Lauderdale, Leff, Weiss & Waldee DDS.

What Has Become Of General Dentistry?

These Fort Lauderdale dentists, don’t just offer the usual prophylaxis and fillings associated with general dentistry but also, maintain and improve oral health thru the use of state-of-the-art technology like restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal procedures, implant dentistry, prosthetic dentistry, sedation dentistry and sleep dentistry.

Sedation dentistry or sleep dentistry is a special branch of general dentistry. To lessen anxiety, general anesthesia is applied thru a mix of a breathing mask and medications until the person becomes more relaxed or totally asleep. When the sedation is over, the patient regains consciousness, usually, not aware of the dental procedures done to him or her.

Fort Lauderdale Dentistry Personal Experience

In one of my visits, I was amazed with the wide ranging dental services this Fort Lauderdale dental clinic offers. And they maintain dental specialists doing all those different dental procedures. Gone are the days when you have a one-man dental clinic operation. This Fort Lauderdale dentistry clinic has general dentists, dental anesthesiologists, and licensed specialists who can legally practice sedation dentistry and other services for patients with the most peculiar needs.

I have never seen a dental clinic as advanced, as worry-free and as patient-friendly as Leff, Weiss & Waldee DDS. Let us face it, technology is just 50% of the battle to change our attitude towards the dreadful dentists. What makes this Fort Lauderdale dentistry clinic stand out from the rest is the gentle and caring staff standing by the clinic from the front door to the dental chair.

My young daughter, who hated prophylaxis before, looks up to her periodic visits with her Fort Lauderdale dentist. I used to avoid visiting my dentist too but the evolving general dentistry services offered by a Fort Lauderdale dental clinic changed all that.

General dentistry has already evolved in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks to the trail blazing efforts of people who will make you as anxietry-free and as comfortable as possible when undergoing a dental procedure. Except for these Fort Lauderdale dentists, I will not allow another dentist on this planet to work on my teeth again.

By: teodolfomar

About the Author:

When liquid stored in the gall bladder hardens into pieces of stone-like material the discussion is about the gallstones. The bile is used to help the body digest fats. The same bile which is made in the liver is stored in the gallbladder until the body needs to digest fat. The gallbladder contracts and pushes the bile into a tube-the common bile duct-that carries it to the small intestine, where it helps with digestion.

Bile is made of water, cholesterol, fats, bile salts, proteins and bilirubin. The bilirubin gives bile a yellowish color and the bile salts break up fat. there are two types of gallstones: cholesterol stones and pigment stones. Cholesterol stones are yellow-green and they are made of hardened cholesterol. They are in an account of 80 per cent of gallstones. Pigment stones are small, dark stones made of bilirubin. Gallstones may look like of grain of sand or as large as a golf ball.

Any combination of gallstones may develop for example one large stone, hundreds of tiny stones. The biliary system shows the following range: the gallbladder and the ducts that carry bile and other digestive enzymes from the liver, gallbladder, pancreas to the small intestine. The normal flow of bile in any of the ducts that carry bile from the liver to the small intestine can be blocked by some gallstones. The hepatic ducts, the cystic duct and the common bile duct involves the bile which trapped in these ducts and can cause inflammation in the gallbladder.

Other ducts open into the common bile including the pancreating duct which carries digestive enzyme out of the pancreas. The opening of a duct may be blocked by a present gallstone which can cause an extremly painful inflammation called gallstone pancreatitis. If one of these ducts remain blocks infections affecting the gallbladder liver or pancreas can occur. There are some serious problems considered as warning size: fever, jaundice and persistent pain. The cholesterol stones form when bile contains too much cholesterol, too much bilirubin or not enough bile salts, or when the gallbladder does not empty as it should for some other reason.

The cause of pigment stones is undefined. They develop in people who have cirrhosis, biliary tract infections and hereditary blood disorders, such as sickle cell anemia, in which too much bilirubin is formed. The gallstones have been indentified as cholesterol stones. It is believed that obesity is a mojor risk factor for gallstones, especially in women. obesity tents to reduce the amount of bile salts in bile resulting in more cholesterol. Obesity may also decrease the empty of the gallbladder. The cholesterol level in bile may appear in cases of excess estrogen from pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or birth control pills.

The presence of estrogen decreases gallbladder movement which can lead to gallstones. The Americans have a genetic predisposition to secrete high levels to cholesterol in bile. A mojority of Native American men have gallstones by age 60. Amoung the Indians of Arizona, 70 per cent of women have gallstones by age 30. Women and Mexican American men of all ages have high rates of gallstones. Women between 20 and 60 years are predisposed to develop gallstones as men. The elder people are more likely to develop gallstones than younger people. The risk of gallstones can increase because drugs that lower cholesterol levels in blood and at the sometime increase the amount of cholesterol secreted in bile.

High levels of fatty acids called triglycerides are present in people with diabetes. In a case of a rapid weight loss the liver secrete extra cholesterol into bile, which can cause gallstones. The bile can become over concentrate with cholesterol, which can lead to gallstones due to the fasting decreases gallbladder movement. The symptoms of gallstones are often named gallstone “attack” because they appear suddenly. A typical attack can cause: steady pain in the upper abdomen, pain in the back between the shoulder blades, pain under the right shoulder, nausea or vomiting. Gallstone attacks often occur after fatty meals and they may appear during the night. Other gallstones symptoms are: abdominal bloating, recccuring intolerance of fatty foods, colic, belching, gas and indigestion.

Patients who have the above and any of the following symptoms should consult a doctor right away: chills, low-grade fever, yellowish color of the skin or whites of the eyes, clay-colored stools. Unfortunately there are asymptomatic patients with no symptoms and their stones are called “silent stones”. They do not interract with gallbladder, liver or pancreas function and do not need treatment.

There are many causes of gallstones but doctors discovered many currying ways.

For more resources about Gall Bladder Symptoms or even about Gall Bladder Removal you can visit http://www.gall-bladder-guide.com/articles.htm

By: Groshan Fabiola

About the Author:

The spinal column may be divided broadly into two main sections. The thoracic or upper spine helps protect the organs that it covers and facilitates the different postures that we adopt. The lumbar or the lower half of the spine is responsible for movement, as is the neck.

Everyone, some more than others, has experienced back pain at some point in his life. The causes for back pain are many. Most people suffer from lower back pain and though upper back pain is not as common, it does occur.

The lower back is susceptible to injuries, as complaints from those who suffer a backache testify. The lumbar region is prone to discs being displaced. Discs degenerate with age and sometimes the spinal column narrows abnormally.

Backache in the upper portion of the back is the result of aberrations or damage to the thoracic backbone. Pain could be caused by irritation of the fibrous tissue between the muscles and due to the malfunctioning of joints. A deterioration of the discs in the upper back may instigate such a complaint as well. These problems often go unnoticed by those who suffer from pain in the upper region of the back, since there is restricted movement in this part of the spinal cord. For the same reason, the upper back is not as prone to injury as the lower portion. It is firmer from not being subjected to great mobility.

The main cause for upper back pain is defective posture. People who regularly work at computers are liable to develop upper backache. This kind of pain often exists in conjunction with pain in the neck and shoulder. Trauma after an accident where the upper vertebrae are injured can cause intense pain. This is not common. However if the case arises, rush the individual to a doctor. The earlier tests are run to assess the damage, the sooner can the treatment begin.

If a joint malfunctions or an irritation caused by the muscles brings pain, there are ways to combat the discomfort and ease the excruciating pain some may be racked with. Exercising everyday may lessen the pain. Physiotherapy sessions might cure the condition as well. An osteopath could alleviate the pain by chiropractic manipulation of the spine. Massages by reputed practitioners, especially deep massages to treat the condition, could bring some much-needed relief. Acupuncture, an alternative gaining in popularity could be your answer. A doctor may choose to inject local anesthesia into the points that trigger off the pain. Chemists may sell medicines that bring relief. The most common antidote would be drugs prescribed by your doctor.

If you have a persistent backache, don’t neglect it. It is better to get to the root of the cause. Once that has been established, you can follow it up with the right treatment, depending on the severity your case.

By: Stephen Madsen

About the Author:
